Timothy Simmons

Timothy SimmonsTim will be developing our course on “GHG Accounting for Stationary Combustion”. After an early career in physics and operational research Tim turned to energy statistics within the UK government statistical service. This led him to take the post of Head of Energy Statistics in the International Energy Agency for six years during which he became closely involved with the early development of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) guidelines on national greenhouse gas inventories.

Over the last twelve years he has worked as a consultant in the fields of energy statistics and GHG emissions methodology and reporting for the European Commission, UK government, Danish government and the IPCC.
