What kind of certificates or certification does the Institute
offer?
The GHG Management Institute currently offers three types of certificates. A Certificate of Participation is awarded to those completing each course, assuming active participation. Certificates of Proficiency are available if you successfully pass the exam associated with each course (separate fee involved for exams). Under our Professional Programs, we are also offering Certificates of Training that represent the completion of a full curriculum of courses, and their associated exams. For more information on this click here. The Institute is also developing a professional certification program for GHG professionals under a cooperative stakeholder process that will follow the requirements of ISO 17024. We expect this our certification program to launch in 2010. For more information on professional programs click here.
How does it work? Do I have to be online at specific times?
The offered courses of the GHG Management Institute are deployed on the web. Each class will run for about 4 weeks with an online instructor. You can login at anytime during the class period. Your account will show you all the classes you are enrolled in and will help you keep track of your progress. All of the question and answer (Q&A), and discussions take place via email and are posted in discussion forums online.
The courses are self-paced and you can work on the material on
your own schedule. During the class period, you have all the flexibility
to do the course work. Your class instructor will be able to answer
