Don Bain leads the software evaluation practice at the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute. He is the world’s leading authority on enterprise carbon accounting and management software.
He has expertise in supply chain, enterprise systems, internet and process control.
Don was a management consulting partner at Ernst & Young, serving Fortune 500 clients in supply chain and enterprise systems. He has served as chairman, president, vice president and many technical roles in companies providing technology, software and professional services. Companies include Setpoint Europe, Setpoint, Aspentech, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and a number of start-ups. He has international executive experience, living in Europe for four years. Don is active in the early-stage venture community, having served on the boards of Robin Hood Ventures and the Pennsylvania Angel Network.
He has published many articles and is a contributing author to CIO Wisdom II – More Best Practices (Prentice Hall, 2006).
Don earned an electrical engineering degree from Stanford University and completed The Management Program at Rice University’s Graduate School of Business. He is a registered professional engineer and co-inventor on multiple patent applications.
