Ryan Deosaran

Senior Project Manager

Ryan is a Senior Project Manager at the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute (GHGMI) with the Caribbean Cooperative Measurement, Reporting and Verification Hub (MRV Hub). He supports the development of tools and guidance documents for GHG Inventories and MRV Systems, assists regional capacity building initiatives as a mentor/instructor teaching the 2006 IPCC Guidelines. Ryan also supports the MRV Hub Project Director in the execution of the MRV Hub’s technical activities and management functions and is dedicated and passionate about working to improve the technical capacity of regional experts in the fields of GHG Inventories and FTC (Finance, Technology Transfer and Capacity Building).

Ryan is a GHGMI alumni and credits the Institute with sparking his interest in the climate change reporting field. He obtained a certificate in GHG Offset Projects, Advanced GHG Accounting and GHG Verification (2013) as well as a Diploma in Measurement, Reporting and Verification (2014) from GHGMI.

Prior to his work at the MRV Hub, Ryan worked as a GHG MRV consultant in Trinidad and Tobago, helping to develop the T&T National Climate Mitigation MRV System and spearheading the Pilot project to test the efficacy of the system for the Energy and IPPU sectors. As a T&T nominated review expert, Ryan has participated in UNFCCC reviews for both Biennial Reports (FTC expert) and Biennial Update Reports (GHG inventory).
