BRIDGING THE GAP

Financial Aid for GHG Training

A central part of the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute’s (GHGMI) mission is to train and develop experts in greenhouse gas (GHG) management. However, we recognize that cost can be a barrier to accessing high-quality climate training. Our financial aid program has helped bridge this gap by offering tuition discounts to eligible individuals committed to advancing climate action.

FINANCIAL CHALLENGES

Our Approach

The Education Program at GHGMI provides rigorous, online technical training accessible globally in GHG accounting, auditing, and management. We acknowledge that the tuition costs of our training courses and diplomas may be out of reach for some aspiring professionals in low- and middle-income economies. Given this accessibility gap, we launched a financial aid program in 2009, which awards a tuition discount in the form of a scholarship to qualifying individuals (e.g., students from low-income economies, universities, non-governmental organizations, and underrepresented demographic groups).
