Kathryn Bickel Goldman

Secretary/Advisor/ Fellow

Kathryn has been a climate change professional for over 20 years working in non-profit leadership, federal and local government, and as an independent consultant. Her expertise includes climate mitigation planning, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory development, carbon offsets policy and protocol development, and teaching and capacity building.

Her accomplishments include leading development of the City of L.A.’s climate action and sustainability plan, methodologies for assessing policy impacts on GHG emissions under the Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT), and on-line training courses for GHG accounting based on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Guidelines. Kathryn is a lead author on the 2003 IPCC Good Practice Guidance for Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry, and the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Inventories, Volume 4 Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Uses. Kathryn is currently the Secretary of the GHGMI Board of Directors.
