Kalifa Phillip is a Programme Associate with the Caribbean Cooperative Measurement, Reporting, and Verification Hub (MRV Hub). She plays a key role in supporting modelling and projections using LEAP to conduct mitigation assessments, MRV system development, GHG inventories, and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) tracking. Through her work, she assists English-speaking CARICOM countries in meeting their UNFCCC reporting obligations, contributing to regional climate action and sustainable development.

Kalifa also coordinates and organizes MRV Hub capacity-building events, engages in outreach with member countries, and provides administrative support to facilitate the effective implementation of climate policies.

A Grenadian national, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical & Process Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago. During her tenure at UWI, she conducted research into climate change decarbonization technologies, industrial symbiosis, and desalination practices, reinforcing her commitment to innovative sustainability solutions.

Beyond her technical expertise, Kalifa is a strong youth advocate for climate action in the Caribbean. She has attended multiple regional and international conferences, contributing to discussions on climate action, sustainability, and energy systems.

Her professional background also includes experience in Grenada’s financial sector, where she developed knowledge in financial management and customer service, leading to her role as Finance Director of the Rotaract Club of Grenada (2022–2023).

Kalifa is passionate about advancing Grenada’s Energy, Agricultural and0020Waste sectors, and by extension, the Caribbean, leveraging both academic and practical knowledge to support sustainable development.

Outside of work, she is an avid dancer and serves as a member of Grenada’s National Dance Company as well as the One Unit Dance Company. With over 20 years of experience as a dancer in Grenada, she has performed both nationally and internationally. She also enjoys cooking, hiking, and exploring new cuisines and cultures.
