E. Crispin d’Auvergne

E. Crispin d’Auvergne is the Inaugural Executive Director of the Caribbean Cooperative Measurement, Reporting and Verification Hub (MRV Hub). He has worked in the field of climate change for over 25 years. He most recently served as the Programme Director for Climate & Disaster Resilience at the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). At the OECS, he focused on Adaptation & Resilience and Mitigation issues. He was instrumental in conceptualizing and establishing both the Caribbean NDC Finance Initiative (NDCFI) and its subsidiary, the Eastern Caribbean Solar Challenge.

Before that, he worked for several years with the Government of Saint Lucia in Fisheries, Natural Resources, Environment, Ocean Governance, Energy, and Climate Change, culminating in his final position as Chief Sustainable Development and Environment Officer. In that position, he also served as his country’s lead technical negotiator on Climate Change.

As a negotiator, he covered (and often facilitated) several issues, most notably: Adaptation; Public Education; Awareness; Capacity-building and Response Measures, and served as one of the first SIDS representatives on the Paris Committee for Capacity-Building (PCCB).

Crispin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies (Natural Resource Management) from the University of East Anglia, UK, and a Master’s degree in Natural Resource Management (Climate Change) from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.
