This training is required to become a California Air Resources Board (CARB)-Accredited Verifiers for the Cap-and-Trade Regulation Compliance Offset Program. To become an accredited verifier, individuals must complete Course 1 and the methodology-specific courses (3-6) corresponding to their desired scope of project types. Course 2 is intended for registry staff only.
Under CARB oversight, third-party verification provides a systematic and documented process for the evaluation of reported data and calculations against the regulatory requirements.
Upon completion of the selected course(s), CARB will determine if all accreditation requirements have been met and grant accreditations at its discretion.
All trainees must be approved by CARB to participate in the Compliance Offset Program Verifier Accreditation Training. Approved applicants may process their training registration payment below.
If you have not been approved, please email Stephen Shelby ([email protected]) to request approval to enroll in the Verifier Accreditation Training.
