We’re pleased to announce the launch of free lessons on Article 6 carbon market training, designed to equip climate professionals with the knowledge needed to effectively engage in carbon market activities under the Paris Agreement.
This new e-learning resource was developed by the Perspectives Climate Group and the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute (GHGMI), with support from the Article 6 Implementation Partnership (A6IP) and funding from the Ministry of Environment of Japan (MOEJ) and Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
“This training provides a comprehensive introduction to Article 6 and how it connects with other domestic policy instruments and systems,” says Molly White, Senior Director (GHGMI). “I’m excited for how this training will help support staff within Ministries, currently needing to navigate and make critical carbon-market decisions and recommendations for climate action under Paris.”
About the Training: Article 6 Decision Making—Training for Practitioners
These lessons are fully accessible online and include four interactive courses covering:
- Introduction to International Carbon Markets

- Assessing Environmental and Social Integrity of Activities and Outcomes
This Article 6 carbon market training supports informed, transparent decision-making and promotes environmental and social integrity in carbon market activities. These first four lessons make up “Part 1” of an expanded set of lessons we hope to add in the coming year.
