The 5th meeting of the Durban Forum on capacity-building was held on 20 May 2016, during the forty-fourth session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation. The discussions focused on:
1) Enhancing the capacity of developing country Parties to effectively implement the Paris Agreement, particularly to convert intended nationally determined contributions into action, to access finance and to meet the transparency requirements; and
2) Assessing the state of art of capacity-building and the way forward in building capacity to support mitigation, adaptation and technology.
