Regional Approaches for Transparency in the Caribbean

The Caribbean Cooperative MRV Hub is pleased to announce this Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Climate Week side event: Regional Approaches for Transparency in the Caribbean.  This event is being organized in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and UNFCCC (RCC St. George’s).

Some of the topics covered during this event will include approaches for enhanced reporting in the Caribbean region, developing a platform to reduce accounting uncertainty, as well as meeting climate action goals in order to prevent the increase in global average temperature by more than 1.5 degrees Celsius. Additionally, attendees can expect to hear regional discussion on how to develop common approaches to report under the Enhanced Transparency Framework, how to promote resiliency, as well as gain an understanding about meeting their NDCs.

The CCMRVH project is part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) supports this initiative on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag.
