What to Expect

The Greenhouse Gas Management Institute (GHGMI)’s programs are globally recognized and used by the United Nations and other leading organizations to train their staff.

  • Courses are self-paced and offered online. An internet connection is required as our courses are exclusively available online and cannot be downloaded or accessed offline.
  • Courses are available online 24/7. Begin the course at a time that’s convenient for you.
  • Courses are interactive and include voluntary exercises and quizzes to help you learn by applying key concepts practically.
  • GHGMI’s faculty and staff monitor the course discussion forums and respond to questions in their areas of expertise.
  • Access to the course is indefinite. Study the course material at your own pace and take the Proficiency Exam when you’re ready.
  • If you pass the Proficiency Exam, you will be awarded a Certificate of Proficiency. Once you pass all required Proficiency Exams for a Diploma program, you will be awarded a Diploma in PDF format.

Note: Our programs are not webinars. It typically takes a learner 16 to 20 hours of interaction and study to complete a course, which is equivalent to a 3 to 4-day intensive workshop. Our courses are rigorous yet fully on-demand, allowing you to learn at your convenience, anytime, anywhere.

The fee for most courses is US$300 (course-only option) or US$435 (if an exam for a Certificate of Proficiency is included), excluding our course on GHG verification, which is US$400 or US$750, respectively.

Diploma program tuition ranges between US$2,250 and US$2,950. Financial aid is available to eligible applicants. Our mission as a nonprofit is to provide you with world-class professional expertise, regardless of any financial constraints you may face.
